Camping Recap
Well, I figured I better jump in here and do a camping update, because we had such a good time, we are going again next weekend. There were several things we didn’t get pictures of that we wished we would have but here are some we did get.
This is a side view of the camp site. As you can see, on Tucker’s first camping trip he fit right in.
Who is Tucker ? you might ask. More about him in a later post, but needless to say he is the one on the blue leash.
Yeah, that’s his “camping duck” hiding behind him. And when he needed to be off his leash and have some time alone with his toys, there was always dog jail :
Sometime Sunday we all decided a nice frosty refreshing Orange Julius was in order and even though Tucker doesn’t eat “people food” he apparently felt he should have some.
And apparently, it was pretty tasty.
Well, next time, I will have more pictures of camping and less of Tucker. But, we did have a good time. I think there was a tie that must be broken in shuffleboard. And the girls won the game of ladders. We rode bikes and walked a lot. Joey and I even did some very unsuccessful fishing. Overall, a welcome getaway and we are looking forward to it again in a week.
Bad luck ?
As I was out front this morning working on my new project, improving the landscaping, I wondered aloud :
Do you think it is bad luck to spray clumps of clovers with weed-b-gone ?
Thoughts.
Camping Weekend
About once every 5 weeks, I have to work a Saturday from 9a – 6p. It makes for a long 6 day work week but it means the next week I get Friday off and a 3-day weekend. Sweet. Well, this is one of those weekends and we are going camping. It probably seems funny, but we actually are going camping to a place about 20 minutes from home.
There is something about camping though that makes that still seem like a complete getaway. Mom, Dad and Joey have to work tomorrow so I will take my time getting up and then will head over to the campground around noon. basically we will just hang out all weekend. There is fishing there so we will probably fish some and otherwise relax, maybe get in a game of cards or two.
I plan to take some pics and will post them sometime next week.
My Personal Domain
I’m in the process of migrating my blog here. I have been using Blogger for the last 3 years and while I have been happy with it, I feel it has reached its end-of-life for me. In the 3 years I have been there they have not introduced any new page themes/templates and my efforts at changing it up a bit have been minimal at best.
Also, I have had my OWN domain for a bit and never really publicized it to family and friends. With this transition to my new blog, I am asking that everyone bookmark my personal domain to find me. This way in the future if I change “blogs” they will always be directed to me with my personal domain.
So, if you haven’t bookmarked it yet – bookmark me at :
This is where you can always find me.
Sunday trip to IKEA !
Joey and I went to IKEA in Orlando today. We normally go fishing but decided after our 6-day work week we needed a day out of town. We had to forgo a dinner with mom and dad because we didnt plan our departure time correctly but it sounded like they had a good time anyway.
