Texas Move [update]

So, I moved to Florida last July with plans to move back to Texas one year later.  That year is fast approaching and I have an update.  I moved here to get healthy with the help of my family here.  I have changed my eating habits and my movement habits and while I have been here I have lost 115 lbs so far with hopes to lose at least another 35 before I leave and then continue back in Texas.

Well, those plans may be altered slightly.  I am coming back to Texas, no doubt.   However, at this time, I am looking to move the date forward a little to September.  Earlier this year the company I work for laid off a group of employees due to economic times and the credit card industry struggles.  And, a couple of weeks ago they laid off another batch.  I am overjoyed to have not been in either batch but it does make me a little wary.

On the one hand, I don’t want to go back and get an apartment and a nice little collection of monthly bills only to lose my job.  On the other hand, I don’t want to stay here, although it would be financially better if I get laid off, because then if I get laid off and need to look for a job I’ll be here, which isn’t where I would want to look for a job.

So, I do think moving back to Texas is the right thing to do, I just want to give myself a little extra time to save a little money [yes, dad, I said save] and at least get more prepared.

What do you think ??

We don’t like the idea, but we can live with it. Sometimes, you just gotta take a leap of faith. In this case, just COME HOME SOON!!

I think that sounds like the smart thing to do. Although we are all ready for you to come back, you need to do what is best for you. And we will help you out in case anything does happen, which it won’t!!!

It’s probably good idea to stay. I’m a bit worried myself.
