I wore a sequined glove to my high school graduation…..
….I did. I have always been a huge Michael Jackson fan. Thriller came out when I was in high school and I remember watching the video over and over on MTv. I had MJ posters and when the Michael Jackson barbie-like doll came out, I had it sitting on my shelf in my room along with my Tracy Bride doll. I wasn’t in love with him in a romantic way really – I was just in awe with his talent and his presence.
Over the years, he changed. We all did. Yes, he became more unique as he got older. I didn’t understand all of his decisions or his lifestyle. But, my awe of his talent never faltered.
I will probably remember him best like this :

I used to beg my mom to marry Michael Jackson! I had to have been 8 or 9 years old. I sure wish I still have my MJ doll complete with the glove and everything. I still don’t want to believe he is gone! His music will always live on.
